Chloé

In 1952, Gabby Aghion, a Parisan of Egyptian origin, founded Chloé. Instantly successful, she soon hired the best designers, and by the late 60's and throughout the 70's Chloe became one of the most symbolic brands of the era. As Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy photographed in Chloé apparel the brand took off. In the 80's the brand's trend continued to show promise. Today, they are still a leader in the high end fashion industry. This year has clearly been one of retro fashion. It has been all about the 60's and then 70's and now 80's. So when Chloe's fall/winter collection 2015 campaign appears as one of the most popular it's not a surprise. Inez & Vinoodh have photographed models Anja Rubik and Juluia Stengner for the new campaign in a Paris setting with bohemian style influence. The models wear wide leg pants and blouses. All accents leading to a higher neck line. It's the retro style we've been seeing and will continue to see especially through brands like Chloé who have found success in those styles in the actual time of their uprisings.

This ad, in my opinion, is the best of the best. One of my favorite things about fashion, is the pictures. It's the advertising and aesthetically pleasing backgrounds and scenarios that fill the blank canvas behind the models that draw us into a line, into a collection, into a season and create the trends. Chloé has earned my admiration. It has been, is, and will be a leader with this fall/winter collection. They've got my vote.

XO your daily dose
