Hello my loves,

This is a little update! As you know, this winter I announced that I would make your daily dose a year round blog starting this spring. However, I have actually been working on a different project. I recently helped to start Y Fashion House's first blog. That being said, my current focus is on that project as I am the current editor for yalefashion.com. Nevertheless, I will try to bring this blog back this summer, BUT if you haven't already, follow yalefashion.com! It is a great blog with diverse topics, fun pictures, and a great team!

Goodbyes

Hello hello. I just wanted to write to say a little goodbye. I am off to college and with starting this new adventure, I have to take a small break from this one. I'll be back next Summer, and if you have been reading, thank you. I hope you enjoyed all the little random posts I shared. Have a wonderful fall and winter.

the weekend

Sorry for going MIA this weekend, but I took a trip to San Francisco and attended Outside Lands. The lineup was great and the food was to die for. 

Outside lands is an interesting festival because of the San Francisco weather. Located at the Golden Gate Park, the fog tends to sit right where the stages are located. Thus, layers are  prominent and everyone's look varies.

My favorite styles for the weekend were the jean on jean looks, small scarves, and sneakers. Props to the people who rocked the jumpsuits and floral dresses. Those who gambled with the weather forecast were smart on Friday and still killed it on the cooler days of Saturday and Sunday.

I will post some of those looks throughout the week. The style I want to share today is from the lead singer of MisterWives (who rocked the stage like no other). Mandy Lee wore a knit sleeveless sweater with a black sports bra, ripped white jeans, Quay sunglasses, and white boots. Her hair added to her spunk as she did pushups on stage preaching about the power and strength of women. The short necklace added to her simple look. 

As far as the performers throughout the weekend, Mandy Lee took the win.

Karlie

Karlie Kloss is officially my favorite person. I am going to college in a few weeks and I have absolutely no idea what I want to major in--just like Karlie Kloss. After being one of Victoria Secret's favorite angels she is deciding to pursue her education at NYU this fall. She took a class at Harvard's business school up at Cambridge and has emphasized the importance of coding through her Kode with Karlie Scholarship. She has partnered with the Flatiron school and has taken the coding class herself last summer. She has raised money for various charities with her love for baking through her Karlie's Kookies program. She is a model icon, a fashion icon and now she is a spokeswoman for the importance of education, and not just any education but computers. Earlier this year she posted a Women Crush Wednesday on Instagram paying tribute to the talents of Ada Lovelace who was considered to have written one of the first computer programs in the 80's, calling her a "gifted mathematician." Thus, although she leaves the angels after an amazing few years we will continue to see her face around the world as she makes strides in fashion and education.

Let me first start off by saying sorry. Yesterday was crazy, and no excuse, I just did not get my post out in time. So today I will do two and both of them will feature two of Taylor Swift's best friends: Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss...

Gigi Hadid is only 20 years old and has already become one of the most famous models around. Her recent news can be seen on Topshop billboards around the world. She is the new face of their fall collection worldwide. Not to forget her recent cover appearance on Brasil Vogue. Her chic style on and off the runway sets trends for us all.
